Minecraft Live 2020
We are delighted that staff from Layer 9 were involved in the planning and delivery of the Minecraft Live 2020 event from Stockholm. This was a COVID considered, socially distanced live broadcast event with a great team of professionals, some of whom were old friends and some new faces. We staged a #LightItInRed team picture during the build, in support of the #WeMakeEvents global day of action. We were extremely fortunate to be working on a live broadcast event, albeit without a live studio audience, given that most of the rest of the live event industry has been without work since the beginning of lockdown.
The show was hosted by Lydia Winters and Vu Bui and revealed the latest game updates to the Minecraft community. The event was a great success and reached a global virtual audience of many millions across multiple Virtual Event streaming platforms.
